That was me. I guess I should stick to commenting on Rivs.:Dou: I thought all Moraine boosters in 67 were gold cad. Urgh; learn something new everyday. Wonder why Buick would spec gold cad on some and silver cad on others.

George, your car is called the "Black Widow" right? I recently saw the video of your car in Big Muscle, I absolutly love it! You did it right!

If I had that car,I would drive it like I stole it.Of course that would be the only way I could get it,lol. My GS was this same car but gold body/black painted top and white interior instead of the "yellow".I cannot remember about the rear chrome but I know it did not have rocker chrome. While this car is absolutely beautiful,I would take George's car over this one in a heartbeat.I want something I am not afraid to drive.

Here is the email I got back from the sellor after asking about the moldings and under hood condition:

This car is well acknowledged by every Buick expert on the planet as the purest 67 survivor in the world. The paint is 100 percent original lacquer. The rocker moldings are original 67 optional moldings. The hood latch is original with gold cad. The brake booster is original. Thanks for your interest and feel free to email with any additional questions.

Well I ask the sellor to back up the rockers and that we on this site is talking about the car and find the moldings to be out of place or unusual. Well here is their response.

As the largest classic car dealer in the world, we've learned that whenever a new car gets rolled out for sale, there are usually 50-100 guys who define their existence by their (believed) knowledge of the car and feel it is their duty to analyze and pick the car apart. It's sort of like when a new dog comes into the pack-all the other dogs have to sniff the new dogs butt and agree amongst each other that it smells ok. In reality, most guys who inhabit forums and carry on like you are actually know very little-their approach covers up their basic insecurities and lack of knowledge. The only place that really matters is out there in the great big world-in judged competition. So, as y'all sit back and proffer your misguided opinions as facts, understand that this is the lowest actual mile survivor GS400 on the planet. It's a magazine featured, national show winner and has been acknowledged as completely original. The car is not a member of your pack and does not wish to be. The guy that buys the car will not be a member of your back and won't wish to be. We will continue to hold out hope that at least once before we die, a contingent from one of the know-it-all clubs actually shows up in our showroom in person and proffers their opinions in an objective, no bull**** setting. Alas, it seems that hiding screen names and aliases is about all you guys can do.

Theres knowledge on this sight that those guys couldnt hold a candle to. With the know it all attitude they have, i can honestly say i deeply and genuinely wish with all my lucky stars they go bankrupt and out of business. But i guess if you cant trust a used car salesman, who can you trust??

Can you tell that struck a nerve??:D

I think the car looks great. I don't think it's worth $99k but it really does look good. Perhaps someone will buy it. I think the sellers used to be from Northeastern Ohio. They always seemed to have had some quality cars although most of them were not Buicks. Either way, I hope the guy that buys it burns the tires off of it. :Brow:

That settles it---It's been acknowledged as completely original, it's been judged, and it's been in a magazine. Now I'm ready to place my $99,000 bid!

Wow you should write him back and ask how he really feels, he seems to be overcompensating for something. Not wanting to draw this guys wrath but my fan shroud is completely different than the one on this car but my car has AC so do I have the wrong shroud or do AC cars have different set ups?

I know. I have an A/C car and my exhaust tips are ALL wrong! LOL! They're coming off this fall. I need to check the fan shroud now. LOL!

Still, there is not doubt this is a very fine car. I would love to have it, drive it and do some burnouts in it.

That fan shroud setup is right for that car. No A/C...4 blade fan...3 row rad. HD + A/C option had a clutch fan, 4 row rad, and a plastic shroud.

The guy that wrote that garbage is a real A++WIPE! The only one with a lack of knowledge about these cars is him. No wonder they want $99,900 for it. It's the only one in the whole wide world with the "optional" rocker moldings on it.

even with the rare nature of the car,it cant be worth more than 40 to 50 k..the markets soft and its not a 67 vette or some other 6 fig car,it just cant hold that in a world of 40 thousand dollar buicks HOWEVER there is always someone wholl pay too much just to have it
