I was looking at my trunk lid (from a 1964 Special which I'd guess is original since the underside paint matches the body tag code for Wimbleton blue). I know the car had some custom paint on it so my guess is maybe they filled the B-U-I-C-K holes as there are none. I tried to see from the underside but access to even get to those nuts looks so tight. This trunk lid did have the lights in the 2 corners so maybe you take those out, and take out the lid's latch and then you could get access to the nuts for the letters? Looks so restrictive to get in there. Was there a Special/Special Deluxe lid with more access for the letter nuts vs. a Skylark lid for 1964?
