I'm looking for a cheap/affordable aircleaner base that will sit on my Demon 850, and/or a Holley 950 in the future. My plan is to use a carb screen, no aircleaner, and use a foam type seal
on the aircleaner base to seal to underside of my fiberglass Stage 2 Scoop hood.
Doesn't have to be a complete aircleaner, just the base, no need for lid.
Condition is of little concern, as long as I can restore it and use it for my intended purpose. I'm in Southern NH, and I would prefer to be within driving distance, if possible.
So go thru the metal scrap pile for me and see if ya can find that old Malibu aircleaner base you have no use for.....
    Thanks, Jim in New Hampshire

I have a considerable collection of misc. air cleaners/parts. What outside diameter would you be looking for? Any particular height or just a flat base? Thanks, Bob.
You can email me for pics or to discuss: drolds1@bellsouth.net.

I'm going to un-cover my car today, take some measurements and re-post.
I'm thinking a "bucket" style stock base with sides that I can cut down and afix foam to, would be the ticket, but I won't know til I measure. Unfortunately, with you in Fla and me in NH, shipping may be prohibitive.
Affordable, after measuring will see if I can use it.
    Thanks for the link........Jim

The local yard has an entire truck bed of older metal air cleaner assemblies. Bases, lids, etc. But yep am not close to you either.

2020-03-08 18.00.36.jpg Ok, after some preliminary measurements, I've made these quick sketches. If I use a flat "pizza" plate base, I'll need to drill two 1" holes to access float level nut/screw adjustment.
That way I can adjust float level without removing carb screen/base.

The hunt goes on .... I may go to CoPart next weekend and see what they have for short money or I may decide to fabricate it myself....Jim

Cut a diamond plate aluminum disc for a base. Couldn't find the foam I needed at HD. I will check out the local hardware store to see what they have to offer. I'll polish the base before I afix the foam. Waiting on the brown truck to bring the carb screen. One step closer ......JIM
