    71 GS 350

Replaced front end parts with stock.
    Ball joints
    Tie rods
    Bushings
    Staybar links
    Coil springs
    KYB shocks
Stock A arms upper and lower

    Rear +2 coil springs
    QA1 single adjust shocks

I've researched some past posts here that say as much + caster (+5°) within safety range, - 1/2° camber, and 1/16"-1/8" toe in max.

Are these numbers what I should ask for instead of factory spec? And why?

Doing my research, that's what I have found too. Those numbers are more appropriate for radial tires as opposed to the original glass belted tires

You have caster & camber reversed Kevin.

Well... That could have gone horribly wrong! Edited my post to correct.

    Thanks Tom!

Had my '72 gs aligned a couple weeks ago at a local reputable shop (been around for years & years).
    Camber 0.3* (left & right), Caster -0.9* left & -0.4* right, Toe 0.12* (left & right)

You want as much positive caster as you can get if you have power steering. It will correct some but not all the geometry issues these cars have built in from the factory. If you have negative caster, you will burn the outer edges off of your tires if you like a little spirited driving on back roads. With positive caster and a hint of negative camber, you will get a better road tracking and more even tire wear.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll be taking my car into http://www.slimshotrodd.com/

They came highly recommended and have been around a long time. I'll ask for all the + caster they can give me, and I'll keep an eye on the camber and toe in numbers.
