Keep August 9-11 free on your calendar! Gateway Buick Performance-Enthusiasts is working with Gateway Motorsports Park to bring some Buick class racing and show classes into this event. We currently plan to host TSM, THS, and TSO classes, and want at least one GS class. While not a Buick-specific event, we would like the Buick participation in this event to be the starting point for an Buick-centric event in the future. The interior must be original or a duplicate of the original in material, style and color. Engine must be stock for the vehicles year and model. Number to NOT have to match. No tube-type headers allowed unless proved by Regular Production (RPO) paperwork. No bolt-on after market parts allowed. Wheels must be available for year/model of the vehicle MODIFIED CLASS The following will automatically put your vehicle in the Modified Class: bodywork that involves redesign of the original body lines, including but not limited to nosing, chopping, channeling, sectioning, changing radius of wheel wells, molding, tunneling, etc. Paint is of custom design such as painted graphics, shading, blending, candy, pearl, neon, or murals. Engine relocation and /or custom fabricated engine mounts and /or a different engine than was available with any given entry (for example big block in 57 Chevy) and/or a smoothed out engine block. Any aftermarket, non stock OEM, multiple car set-ups, tunnel rams, blowers, turbo chargers and/or late model tuned port-type fuel injection on any other era vehicle. Interiors that are of a custom design that consist of changes to three or more of the following: seats, door panels, dash modifications, flooring, headliner, trunk, or truck bed area. For clarity: There are three TR-specific classes being run: TSO, TSM, THS. If you have a TR qualified to run in one of these classes, it will be $60 for Saturday and Sunday (one fee covering both days). The Friday T&T is $40. You may also run in other money classes if you wish. The "Buick bracket" class is our all GS bracket class. If you have any Buick V8 powered GS of any year you may enter this class. Again, it will be $60 for Saturday and Sunday (one fee covering both days). The Friday T&T is $40. You may also run in other money classes if you wish. Any other Buick vehicles (Buick powered or not) are encouraged to attend. You can show or race in any of the other classes appropriate for your vehicle. We can not have classes for everything, and we do not know what the attendance will be. Note that the weather for this weekend looks great, and any rain expected will be limited. The pits are fully paved. The track is a national event NHRA track, and is able to deal with cleanups and track drying very well. Each of the TR/GS classes will have a plaque and jacket from the track as a prize.
