Just checked the link. Now it's March. Seems like everytime bad press comes out from us impatient Buick racers we are thrown a carrot, happened already 4-5 times. Now after hearing on this Board that December they will be shipped I see this! Same old story to me, "Just send money it is coming next month..." heard that one way too many times. Am I pissed yeah, and totally disgusted not as bad as Gary, but bad enough. So after March what will it be? Oh a finished block to be viewed at the Nats or Indy or Norwalk? (another carrot a trojan horse).

Unless something PROOF positive by an outsider that actually sees more than one made and where they are being made at and all the details told (and proof is not just a post on this board telling me they will be out next month) then just stick stick a fork in me I'm done with this deal. To me something smells real bad and I have seen this type of dealings before. To think I was fooled too. Like I said, mid January getting my cash back and calling it a day.

If it does happen to come out, well so be it if I missed the boat and I can live with that. But judging on the track record with this fiasco I think I am making the most logical decision dealing with my money. I just hope that I am totally wrong on this, but looking back on this project how can anyone wrong me for bitching.

Oh and by the way the Bulldog web site has been down again it went down about 2 weeks ago. Not good.

    Hi Guys,

:Do No:665ci??? & "new" BullDog heads that flow 450+cfm???:Do No:

Before getting to bent with this action also take notice that this is not BullDog Performance directly but a place called Competition Plus out of Chicago Heights, IL.....

As far as a "March" release date...that is for the aluminum version. Hope I don't step on my tongue here, but I'm pretty sure the release date will have little to do with the iron block date. The iron blocks were announced (and taken deposits on) WAY before an aluminum was so I see it as just good business to fill the iron block orders first.:Do No:

If I've spoken out of turn here then I deserve my punishment.:spank::)

PS....PLEASE do not think (or take it as..) I do not understand the flustration of "excuse-after-excuse". If my money were indeed tied up in a block that still has not materialized after several years of set-backs & excuses I can not say that I would not be right there amongst the crowd with my burning pitchfork also!

    Happy New Year Everyone!!

i hate to say this ... but i'm pretty much in agreement with Rick.

i had REAL BAD VIBES when we first got word that 'hey, we know the iron block is over a year late but we're introducing an aluminum block as well now, all ya's gots to do is send us a little more money. just a little more and this deal will get done!'

i mean, it's possible that was legit ... but it's also the textbook string-the-sucker along manuever common to almost all scams.

now they're auctioning for block deposits ... on the aluminums? WTF?

and i don't take any solace in the knowledge that the Ebay poster is from chicago. those who've been paying attention know that Bulldog is based in the Chi-town area. this makes me more nervous, not less.

maybe Dick used Burek as his liason specifically because Jim is in TX and so it would be almost impossible for Jim to check up on him?

i don't know. Bulldog is/was selling heads and parts to other makes ... if it's gone this far down the toilet that he's pulling this crap with the buick stuff and he doesn't make good i don't see how he hasn't got one foot in bankruptcy already. if i had a deposit in for anything with him i would be extremely nervous right now.

This whole thing reminds me of the body-shop disasters many of us have either experienced or heard/read about. The silence was deafening when I mentioned that more orders might be had if an escrow account were to be set up. I don't think I could resist buying at that point.

I think that seeing the casting shows that things were on the up and up to begin with, but as you say, it now looks a little sketchy. Especially when offering up new products without delivery on year-late products.

Regardless, the road to Hell was paved with good intentions.

    hey guys,

i agree making promises that you can't keep is B.S. but nothing has changed in two years. in my opinion if you have a deposit down leave it there and race your cars, hopefully one of these days they will finally keep a promise and ship it out. they are the only ones that are going to do a block. if you were one of those guys who sold all your stuff it looks like you should have thought it through a little more. :Dou: while you guys are sitting around watching drag racing on ESPN, i will be in Bowling Green running in the low 7 sec. area.

P.S. keep in mind i run a stock block with stock main size and no cracks this year. Thanks to a 4 bolt main from TA Performance.

    Have a happy new year
    ROD !!!!! :3gears:

    Question to eBay seller:
I am considering buying such a block. Would you accept the ebay escrow system for the full price of a standard bore-space block with oversize cam bearings and reduced main bearing size?

    Reply:

If you would prefer to go through the ebay escrow system that is fine. The parameters of the final block dimensions can be adjusted to whatever specifications you need. The block you mentioned would cost 5250.00. Feel free to write back, or call at your convenience 708-755-2000
    Thank You, Ted

I am guessing either Ted is getting taken for a ride as well, or as mentioned, intentions are good all around. I know I would be really P.O'd to find out they built a whole Al block while I was waiting for my year behind paid up-front iron block.

If I had a rubber leg I'd kick my own butt for not being more aggressive with the turbos and losing focus more times than I can count. I have to hand it to you guys for sticking with it! :TU:

I have no dog in this fight, BUT...

there are 25 people, with out of pocket money, getting jerked for 2 years, with no firm delivery date, on an IRON block...

and today, we see deposits being solicited/requested for an ALUMINUM block, with a CONTRACTED delivery date, from the SAME vendor source, and we're also treated to a pic of it. Ebay is a contract purchase medium, you pays your money and whomever takes it, MUST legally deliver that aluminum block in March 2006, or is that 2007, or 2008, or .....

this is a very, very bad turn of events, for a lot of trusting people.

i to have money down a block. i feel like it is a bunch of bull too, but what are we to do. it is out of our hands but it is our only chance for a new block. but the point is, life is to short to be sitting around counting on promises from other people, i am not going to sit around and wait, i am going to race my car and sooner or later they have to come up with something, in the mean time race your cars have fun and enjoy it while you can.

the ebay deal may or may not be associated with Bulldog / Bradshaw.

but i know for a fact that Bradshaw had JB pimping for the new aluminum blocks on this very board not 4 months ago. and however you want to add this up, it's starting to get unpretty.

which REALLY sucks, because i'd love to see a bunch of buicks kicking @$$ at the strips in '06.

Isn't there plenty of guys here on this board who can contact Bulldog directly and ask them about this aluminum block auction?
Should be as simple as making a phone call. :Do No:
