STAGE III Lost Experimental 455-4 Bolt Main Block.

image.jpeg I have never done a drum to disc conversion, looks fairly straight forward and with the help from many folks I think I have pretty much everything to put the puzzle together.

The most notable issue though is it appears I have no washers, bolts, nuts, fasteners, bearings, seals etc with the exception of the new caliper bolts I bought. I need to secure the correct length, thread and grade of fasteners so if anyone knows of a source I would appreciate pointing me in the right direction.

I bought new soft brake hoses (have not purchased hard lines yet though) & new rotors.

I have the disc porportioning valve, very nice used calipers, backing plates, brackets and valve block. I still need the hard lines, vaccum booster and the other parts but while I am rebuilding the suspension and I still have the front clip off I wanted to put what brake parts I have for the conversion on.

    Thanks for any help.

"you can use all the drum brake hardware."

Excellent news! I wasn't 100% sure on that one since I was told the drum brake spindles could be used if you grinded part off for clearance.
Anyhow thanks for the tip on the fasteners, will cross reference with the assembly manual and torque to specs.

the only bolt you'll need to source is the upper caliper mount bolt. it's a thin head bolt. 7/8" fine thread i believe.. the drums will not have that.

If you are getting rid of the front drum springs and hardware I would be glad to pay you for them. Some of that stuff is unique to Buick. Thanks.
