    Been lurking in the shadows here for a while...
    finally getting started on making my '65 Skylark 2 Door Thin Pillar road worthy. :TU:

    removing original factory front end components:

    cleaning off 51 years of road crud so we can find the strap bolts to remove original fuel tank:

    I'm in Dallas, GA.

    Front disc brake conversion complete. :TU:
    Brake lines adapted to rear drums...we'll see what needs replacing in the rear once system gets bled. :confused:
    Most likely wheel cylinders & center rubber hose at the least.

    Parts on-hand and installing soon:
    New fuel tank, straps, sending unit and rubber fuel line components. :grin:
    New Moog coil springs & RCD/Bilstein shocks...both @ all 4 corners.

    Front & rear sway bar kit arrived today. :grin:
    (Sweet deal on a Hotchkis 2202 kit from THM.)

    Rear upper & lower control/trailing arm kit should arrive Saturday. :grin:
    Boxed w/ poly lowers & double adjustable uppers.
    (Good sale going on @ SSM...be sure to call for discount code.)

    Sweet! Give ya a good feeling when you first hear it fire up and there are no leaks or strange noises.

    Having issues keeping fuel to the carb...guess I'll be trying a new manual fuel pump this week...it's only a 2-Jet...and just wanting to drive it right now. :3gears:

    Forgot to update:
    New pump didn't fix the issue.
    New parts store carb ran worse than original one so I had original rebuilt by Quadrajet Power.
    After that I put in a new HEI distributor, new wires and plugs...and she runs like a sewing machine!
    Finally brought her to the house two weeks ago and been driving her to work and back ever since!
    She drives and handles great too!
