The Cat's Lair does not need to dream-its real and its AWESOME! any garage with a 4-speed WILDCAT in it RULES! Here is the engine as it sits - I just need to button up the valve covers and oil pan, get some red paint in it. Mild build, 212 cam, port matched, etc. :beer
Black 69 GS!!!!!!!!!!1969 buick 350-4 and MANUAL 3 SPEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is going to be a venerable car!!!!!!!!!!!Ted, if we ever cross path, I will be the one worshipping!:TU:
Where does the time go? Getting back to it 2017. Trans has to come out, all drivetrain assembled (3.23 rear, driveshaft, trans) and so on... Last year I got 3 projects working...never done but got my 65 Gran Sport on the road, finished an engine swap in a 64 Wagon, took the 68 timing apart and advanced the cam so some progress. My 70 Stage 1 is almost done getting paint and interior. 2017 going to be great!
I know how the 'time' thing goes. It certainly has slipped by me on too many car projects. Did you ever get the body off the chassis? Is that a 7 Liter '66 Galaxie?
Let's just call it Ted's Ford insanity. 69 is just as was delivered from body shop except I dropped the engine in I guess for storage
Thanks for the '66 picture, Ted. Those are one of the cars that I desired back when they were new. Still do love 'em. My Dad's first new car was a '66 Ford, but just a 289 with a hand-shaker.
Is there anyone with knowledge of another 350/3-speed? Just another one of my obsessions. production: "175" 350/3 speed floor shift manual hardtops. Any others out there?
I have a 3 speed cast iron Muncie trans from one around 70. Did a 69 still use the Ford three speed trans or had they already switched to the Muncie?
