Man, for as many people as we have in the greater Cleveland area, we should have one.

Funny how things happen. Just yesterday I got wind that after the GS NATs the GSCA Ohio chapter will be resurrected again. There use to be one.

The Penn-Ohio Chapter of the GSCA has been around for years. It might slow down, but it never dies!

Penn- Ohio (or Ohio-Penn) covers an area that runs from Sandusky east to western PA and from Columbus north to the lake. Majority of members are in Akron to Youngstown corridor and north. Don't know why GSCA would start an Ohio chapter when Penn-Ohio is an affiliate club of the GSCA, unless they are starting a southern Ohio chapter.

    Penn-Ohio Buick Performance?
Isn't that a group of Drunken Old Fogies, that their Main ambishon is getting Smashed on Slushies, and Talk about cars that have been under construction & hidden for Years?
    JUST JOKING FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, Penn-Ohio has a GREAT group of People, a WEALTH of Knowledge in all factors, whether it be Racing, Restoration, History, or whatever.
Dan, I would touch base with this Group & get involved with them.
FUN Group & Knowledgeable. "Well Worth Price of Admission." :Smarty:
I find it WELL Worth a 28 HR tow, or 6hr Flight just to get up tho see this Group when I can, even thou I usually get my Clock Cleaned, I have a RIOT.

We won't even go there. I dread the day I have to race her in a final. I will lose for sure when she has her game on.

You answered your own question. "Sandusky east to western PA" there is allot more land to Ohio past Sandusky to the west.
The world just doesn't end there hehehehe

And these guys want to run and sponsor their own events.
Which will happen west of Sandusky.

I have looked at the BCA but it just doesn't pop at me.
The site and everything looks a little to plain jane. No offense plz.
The logo makes me think of the 1950s cars and old men in hats.

A very cool era but not my piece of pie.

I doubt the Buick Performance Division or the Modified Divisions of the BCA would agree with your BCA thoughts. Maybe come watch the "real" Buick guys and gals flying down the drag strip at the Buick nationals some year. The BCA has been around and the formost Buick Club since 1966 - it does not stay that way by catering to any one group but giving ALL Buick owners some of what they want. Any Buick group is welcome to enter talks with the BCA if they would be interested in becoming a division of the BCA. :TU:

Its the impression I get from the website. I can't do much about that.
    [They can.]

I have been to plenty of events but never a club only event.
I have probably seen a BCA show but their name wasn't on all the big highway banners as you drive in. Course I don't pay much attention.
I am sure I have seen just about every club at some time. Just didn't know it.

Anyone know the history of all the clubs?
Is there a time line of when all the clubs came to be?
Who branched off of whom and what not?

Might make an interesting family tree.

    James,
The world doesn't end at Sandusky? I thought it did! Seriously, a lot of the people west of there join the Michigan club or Indiana club. Good group of people in the Michigan club, don't know anyone in the Indiana club. At the 2000 Nat's they were talking about a western Ohio club, but it never came about. I think the clubs should be more localized than they are now. It's too hard to get people to travel great distances to a meeting or get together. I like to race and unfortunately it seems I am in the minority when it comes to clubs. Hope they finally do start something for the western part and southern part of the state.
As for the history of the clubs , I think the Penn-Ohio has been in existance about 22 years. The GSCA as it is now 25+ years. I joined a club in '69 that was the Gran Sport Club of America. Not the same one as now. It went belly up in around '73. Didn't even know there was a new GSCA in existance again until 1999.

    Peace

I don't know who named it the Penn-Ohio Chapter, but it does sound better than the Ohio-Penn........Sounds like a place to keep convicts!
Feel free to join, we will take anyone's money.
Our next meeting is supposed to be in the Cleveland area.
