Actually, railroads are the largest consumers of Diesel fuel in the USA

Can you imagine the chaos if by law, employers were required to give a raise to workers EVERY TIME they asked for one just to keep up with rising prices, and then the manufacture's raise the price AGAIN to offset wages they are required by law to pay their employees.

Yes. Hence my wording "equipment operators and business owners". I wasn't aware that railroads were not covered under that statement.

Okay, I read every post and no one got it....

OPEC cut distribution drastically especially Soudi Arabia cut back to almost nothing about three weeks ago. They can't compete with the USA so they are hoping their production halt will get oil prices up.

I've also read where they are running out of oil and switching to natural gas production but don't know how true that is.

It's a complete hose job. Speculation. Can you imagine if every other industry used such drastic measures in price fluctuation? You could never plan a budget. Imagine if food, building materials, cars...whatever, fluctuating up 10% overnight? It would be like the grocery store re stamping the prices on all their food that's already been on the shelf and priced.

I try to buy gas at the Reserve if I can. Usually it's 40 cents or so cheaper. No sales tax there.
