Anyone ditch old muscle car for modern performance ?

    I agree about Pro-touring. It's a great way to upgrade and enjoy classic muscle. If done tastefully, it just makes a classic car handle and drive better all around, while not detracting from the look and heritage.
    The only problem I have is that there is no modern V8 with a Buick lineage. I know the LS is a great motor, but it's a great Chevy motor. For some reason that really bothers me. Not enough to criticize your choice, but enough not to use it for anything other than a pure race car. Just my own personal hangup. If I owned a built 455 and had my $10k+ build fail, I might have to take a hard look at that option. For a weekend warrior race car, it makes a lot of sense.
    I like the fact that the 3800 I'm going to use, while a corporate motor, is still a Buick designed motor. You can see all over where it is derived from. Too bad it's not a V8 and sounds like a chainsaw, lol.
