I'll be there wearing a pink (was red) Bristol Speedway hat and a BOPC shirt. Hope to see some of you there.
Picked-up an 89 Turbo Trans Am today. $12,000. https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0117-267283/1989-pontiac-turbo-trans-am/ I'll be back on Sat the 14th for the big day.
If anyone can, I would appreciate a video (just from a cell phone) of the auction action for the 1974 Buick GS Century that will be auctioned on Friday afternoon. If I can show that video to my wife, maybe she will appreciate my 73 Buick Century GS Stage 1....well maybe just a bit more than she does now. Please call me if you can do this, 562-897-2227 At the very least, I can pay for your admission that day.
Saw a beautiful low mileage 70 GS that is supposed to be for sale at Mecum Kissimmee. Triple black car. Anyone going after it?
WOW! This thread was from last year. Anyway, I'll be there again this year Sat the 6th, Tue the 9th and Fri the 12th.
I will be there Saturday late afternoon and Sunday. Buddy has his 2007 GT500 Shelby selling Wednesday.
Well, that was easy to make my own video of the car like mine being auctioned-off. Just a cell phone video of the Mecum on-line video worked quite well. It was amazing how many VERY nice cars went for about $8000: an early 70's Ranchero, a red Bertone modified Volvo, a beautiful Rolls Royce (2-tone silver and very dark blue), and a very dark green Cadillac Allante, were four that I particularly liked for that price. And then many cars, which I would actually LESS like to own sold for $16000 to $20000. The 1974 Buick Century GS Stage 1, like mine, sold for $16,500. YES! That made my wife happy. She said I can have my car painted, its OK with her now. There was a beautifully done hot-rod Packard that I just went nuts for. Who else had some favorites from the first day?
Well, there was the 700 mile Turbo Trans Am. The bidding went to $37,500 so fast I didn't have a chance to get a bid in. It didn't meet reserve.
