I see summit has these for $60. Is it any good? I don't own a dial back light so thought I would pick this up.

Not me. I had the basic light and quickly bought the one with dwell, RPMS, etc. I wouldn't go any other way now. Money well spent to get the higher end one.

Agree with Matt, get the Innova 5568. Got mine for like $108 on Amazon.

i was wondering if you could use one of those tempo lights musicians use. or a really bright noid lite off the #1 spark wire. Timing lights are notoriously wrong for some reason.

TexasT Texas, where are you from

I don't think that it matters that a timing light is "wrong", as long as it is consistent. When you tune you tune for a particular engine and set of parameters(weather, fuel to be used, length of track and such). As long as you are getting a consistent reading you can get to a peak performance.

that 5568 is less than $105 from summit through eBay and has free shipping

Thanks! I have a dwell meter and a basic light, so I wanted to go with the dial back so I could check the full advance operation. I'll look at the 5568.

You can get the dial back, dwell, tach, all in one. Your dwell box and basic light will be sitting on the shelf after that. Good backups or sell to some Chevy or Ford guy ;)

I have the 5568. It is a really nice light with a lot of features, got it on amazon around $105 . That being said I used it a total of 5 times before the light quit strobing. A call to Innoa a return # issued and sent back to them for warrenty repair. They got it 2 days ago, waiting to hear back form them..... we'll how there customer service/ warrenty dept. are.
