I just did and twice the limit for mercury and at the limit for lead. Racing may explain the lead as well as driving a race car to the track with leaded gas for years. Siphoning leaded gas with the occasional mouthful didnt help. Heck all of us were exposed to lead in traffic in the 60s and 70s. Did you know pencils until 1978 contained lead paint?...I used to chew them some... As far as mercury I have amalgams, ATE quite a bit of tuna and swordfish and had a large mercury column barometer break in my basement and I used a vacuum to get it up....apparently a no no.
i know lead will eventually work its way out of your system. you are likely still being exposed to it regularly.
Have you been tested for rubber, having been exposed to it through absorption via the pores in your face and the hair follicles on your head when the car rolled off the trailer and you tried to tackle the slick and wound up chocking the whole car with your head squished under the slick? Just wondering.
Well the reason I ask is because it sounds a lot like what happened to me when I was 16. I was working on my 70 Cutlass, had it on ramps with no chocks. But since I was 16 and tunes were more important than chocks, I had a big home stereo Fisher speaker hooked up to my in-dash stereo and had the wire long enough to have the speaker outside of the car and I put it right behind the front wheel. When it rolled off of the ramps the speaker slid with it keeping between me and the front tire. It slid me all the way across the driveway, across the yard and into a tree 30 feet away. I left half of my forehead on the driveway and was stuck under the car but basically unhurt. My little brother finally heard me crying out unto The Lord under the car and he went and got help and they drug me out from under the car. Valuable life lesson learned as I have never gotten under a car that isn't double or triple chocked!! And home stereo speakers don't count!!

I remember years ago stripping the lead outer casing off of underground telephone wire and melting it for fishing sinkers. No one even thought about lead back then. That may explain a lot
Yeah slicks are soft but those Norwalk stones stuck to them were a bit uncomfortable on my face. Eat it 1st thing in the am. Cut it up, smash it up with a spoon, let sit for 15 mins and put it in your mouth wi th the spoon. A little water to wash it down. 3 table spoons of RAW garlic (read up on garlic/raw honey how they work TOGETHER) and it takes the bad taste away. You'l get used to it. After eat it feel real strong. Back in ancient times the 1st Olympians would eat garlic right before they did thier physical activity. Mainstream ways don't school us on this, they just want you to pop a pill.
Eating raw garlic each day also has the benefit of keeping those pesky humans out of your face... due to the dragon breath. Not sure if there would be any effects on a drag slick..... JW
I'm actually afraid of getting tested, especially for lead. Between race gas, working in shops since 15, and the fact that I've got about 200 lbs of lead ingots in my basement reloading room that I cast my own bullets from, I'm betting I'm probably not fit for public consumption. Just remembered we used to put lead pellets for our air rifles and later 22 shells in between our gums and cheeks for quicker reloading when gopher hunting as a kid......
I did electronics work for years. As a third hand, I would simply put the solder in my mouth, with one hand to hold the solder pencil, one to hold the work, and feed it with my face..
