Yeah, that'll get your lungs (asbestos) but the heavy metals are more insidious.

Just found out I need to not use baking soda toothpaste. It abrades the amalgams and causes release of mercury every time you brush....great. You would think that could be on the label!
I think there still are at of people still out there with silver/Mercury amalgams!

Ditto. Dealership in '60s...carbon tet, exhaust (mechs too lazy to use hoses in winter with shop doors closed, went home with CO headache every night), asbestos from tires, clutches, and brakes (everyone blew dust all over)...

Tell me about it...my first job was sanding boat bottoms with anti fouling paint....without a mask! Come home and blow my nose and it would be color de jour...those red bottom paint blows were bad but the blue ones weird.

On the serious side regarding lead and mercury and other heavy metals and the dangers to the human body, research these two foods:
    1. Cilantro (those of us living in the Southwest US know this plant well): It has a rare ability to actually remove various poisons from the body; and
    2. Chlorella (pyrenoidosa): It's a protein rich algae (58% protein) which has many other nutrients and is considered a complete protein chain, but it also has very unique ability to bind to toxic heavy metals and create a barrier between the body and the toxic materials - one of the newly discovered "superfoods" and is available in pill form as a supplement.

.. we were going to have head-shaped wheel chocks made up with Bruce's mug on them - what ever happened to that idea Doug ?

To be serious though .. I was really worried when the Jag rolled back on him and was one of many who helped push it off. A LOT of us were concerned .. I mean, those slicks are expensive and could easily have been damaged ;)

To be really serious...if I hadn't tried to stop it my son who was 8 at the time wouldn't have made it out from under there unscathed....that Jag is low.
Can you believe it happened 14yrs ago?
I still remember that second effort lift that got it off me....I remember 2 big black guys who were just checking the car out came back to help lift. That car jumped in the air that second time.
