Are dash inserts interchangeable between A-body's?

I've been wanting to change the look of the dash in my '64 Skylark. I prefer the round speedo and tach with room for gauges to the current wide sweeping speedo from the factory. I was wondering if an insert from a Chevelle or GTO would fit? They are readily available in the aftermarket and inexpensive. I can do some minor mods to get it to fit but if they are too different it's probably not worth the trouble.

I saw pictures of a '64 dash that the owner had replaced the lens with a sheet of aluminum and installed some round Autometer gauges in. Looked real sharp! He kept the bezel, so it all still fit the dash.

Here’s what I did With mine. Had a 20g plate cut based off a template I made, using speedhut gauges and leds from amazon for turn signals, high beams, and check engine light.
