I will be restoring a "72 grille soon, that I found at Desert Auto Salvage, in Phoenix, AZ last year. Wondering what brand/number paint, to use for the argent silver, and black areas? Thnx, Joe X.

Plasti-Kote 8115 is the colour. Al Yeager recommended this to me for my own grille resto.Super match.

Thnx Steve :TU: , we'll give that a try. The grille is for my son Josh's, "71 project car, and those grilles are just too pricey. This '72 grille will have to do for now. Just hope the headlight doors will work with it :Do No: ? Thnx again, Joe.

Hey Steve, what year/color is your car? Looks alot like Josh's was (Sandpiper Beige, brown vinyl top), before we stripped it. Joe.

Mine was Sandpiper Beige & brown vinyl when new.
A previous owner changed the paint to yellow.
Took the best match I could find to Butternut Yellow. My buddies call it Banana Yellow. Replaced the vinyl roof with the same colour.

    Go to George N.'s site @ www.buickperformance.com
Under 2005 members there is a pic that shows the yellow much better.
The other pics were taken on a dark day, colour not so good

Looks good Steve. Josh wants his car black, and is changing his saddle interior to black also. Sure hope we can get his cars body straight, black's a very revealing color. Joe.
