So after 3 1/2 years of work, I am finally done with a complete restoration of this 71 GS. She was rough, but after a lot of metal work and a rebuilt engine (and a ton of parts from all over the country), she looks and runs like new. She was a Fremont car, originally sold at Seaside Buick in San Diego. I went back to all original (found the build sheet under the tank). It is 99% stock, except for the paint color, which is now red instead of the turd brown (bittersweet mist) she came with. Worst thing about old cars... they didn't have any cup holders, but I fixed that. Last pic is a before.
Like the new color/top combo. My car suffers from " where can I put my drink, wallet, phone etc . " syndrome. Always seems to be a water bottle rolling round on the floor. One of my and the wife's pet peeves. Will be one of my winter projects. Again , red/black top, NICE....enjoy, Jim/Rott
All you cup holder guys, the beer can goes in your crotch, and then out the window....jeez Great looking car, btw!
