I have power from fuse box to blower switch but plug is melted( looks by the brown wire) connector F on diagram;can blower motor on 68 skylark be jumped out. black/orange wire looks out of reach on blower motor, can it be jumped out to test motor. also if resistors/relays are bad would blower work on low speed?:puzzled:

not looking at a diagram for this car but majority of the time the resistor controls the resistance on ground side of the of the circuit to cut the voltage to control speed. low speed the circuit goes through three resistor, med postion it goes through two resistors med 2 , one resistor and high speed it bypasses the resistor a lot of the time. Just unplug the blower motor and jump power and ground to the plug and see if it works. if not do a resistance test to make sure their is a path for electricity to travel. i am one of the few but i love electrical problems and enjoy it. High resistance , high current will melt a plug.
