I've sold three cars with mecum all had reserves and I was still nervous as all heck.
My TA sold for 38k and the cars I seen yesterday on tv were less than my trans am made me feel good about my sell..
Don't get me wrong my trans an was crazy sweet the guys who know here about me and my crazy cleanness..
But dam I wish I drove that car more before I sold it...the vw was bad too...
Jenson button now owns the TA he is a formula race car driver...
He has a sweet video of the car with a bunch of girls for a bikini company I always told my son the TA was a panty dropper

Blame the "Number Nazis" for that. Ford, didn't stamp the engines Except for the Hi Pos. (warranty reasons) & then came the restamps etc.
I will tell You that there are More Matching number Big Block Vettes out there than were Built!!
I had to look at a 67 SB Vette for Insurance purposes. The Numbers were there, Dates, etc. Then, in the corner of the Garage, was another 327 Engine.
Anyone want to guess the Numbers & date codes on it??? "Engine Appears to be original by stampings & date coding" is on the report & that the other is there.
Open Hemming's, You want a "Correct Dated" SBC? Blocks are Available, just stamp Your VIN.
I'll Bet that there are More "Matching # GS cars out there than there were 20 Years ago as well. We Pounded the cars when New, or a few years later, and engines, Transmissions, went away, & were replaced, Warranty or Wrecking Yard, didn't mater, just get it back on the road.

Did u ever see so many GT350 Mustangs for sale in one place?

BY the way- if the '70 GSX had had a 4 speed, would the car have brought more money? How much?

Maybe 10- 20K more even at that price you're still underwater. The car Was for sale on different websites for 139K A realistic price.

Don’t think auctions will have a banner year in 2018.
