Thanks everyone for thinking of her, surgery went well today. It was a bad break but doctor feels good about the surgery. She is glad to be out of the traction device. It will be 12 weeks before she can put weight on it now.
That's good news. Now, tell her to follow Doc's orders and not screw it up. Rushing things now, pay for it when you get older.
WOW!! Glad to hear your wife is on the mend after that horrific sounding crash. I'll be thinking of you guys during this time of healing.
She was able to stand on one leg (with a walker) and sit in a chair yesterday, which is great progress. Also, all iv's are out. Long road ahead but happy to see her improve. I also went home to shower and I found where the truck was taken, so I stopped by to see it. Totally demolished.
Glad to hear she is improving. I know just the smallest things make a big difference when it comes to this kind of situation. Let her know a lot of people are pulling for her.
Back to the doctor and hospital today, my wife has been trying to get around with the walker and it has aggrevated something in my wifes chest, found out it was a broken rib they had not discovered.
Just an update, wife got her staples out this week but they would not let her bring them home to sell for scrap metal. She is looking and sounding better every day, still several weeks before she can put weight on her leg and several months before full recovery but I am happy to see any improvement, big or small. We start dealing with the insurance companies now. Thanks to all for thoughts and prayers.
What? They wouldn't let her keep the staples to sell for scrap!? Sure would help towards any co-pays! Glad she is showing improvement. Prayers for continued progress.
My wife got to try walking again with both legs this week, first time since the accident. She done real good at the physical therapist. She uses a walker for help and can only put weight on the one leg for about 25% of each week, but glad to see her up again.
