I am going with Coopers to replace my 13 yo BFG's. I am glad to see Larry likes his Coopers.

I would not put 14's and 15's on the car. If it was me, I'd go 255/60's all around. Confirm that with the 68-69 guys, but I don't think it is a problem on the front.

Have a look on the sidewall for the maximum inflation pressure. On my Cooper Cobras, it is 44 psi. Back when out cars were new, tires had a maximum inflation pressure of 32 psi. My chassis manual says 26-28, but on a 44 psi tire, 38-39 is the equivalent.

Interesting. It never occurred to me to go with a 255/60 on the front as well.

I ran BFG 245/65R15s on all four corners with an 8" Corvette style rallye wheel, 4.5" BS. IIRC, it would rub in the front at close to lock on the steering.

white racing stripe and white letters, otherwise the redlines would look fantastic on black car.

I vote for ones you didn't mention: Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T's. I have them on my 68 (245/60-15) and really like them. I like the white letters out and I have never had a problem cleaning the "blue" off of new ones...

We have Coopers on several cars and have had good luck with all of them. I like white letters out, to me that fits the muscle car vibe.

I really like those MT's you have on. I do like the redlines the best, but the size is very limited and they are more money than i want to spend on a skinny tire. I'll probably stay with BFG or Cooper.

I'm not sure that having a 255 in the front will look right, but i don't know for sure.

Keep the suggestions coming, much appreciated!

I was gonna say it looks like very similar tread pattern, too. I have to say next time around, for the cost of BFG's, it's a no brainer to go with Cooper. They look similar to BFG in every way without having to bend over and grab my ankles.

Plus, I have 245-60-14 and Coopr sells a 235-60-14 which is close. (little higher profile I guess, being 235 instead of 245?)

Unfortunately no 245/60/14 on this chart but you can see the trend.
