I once asked what was the correct % of black to have the ram-air cleaner assembly coated... I was told 60%... Is this correct for the rest of the underhood items also??? Brackets, pullies, braces, ect...

And what is the correct color for the aluminum bell housing???

    Thanks, Michael

Micheal, good question, but let me tell you what I have found out. There is no right answer. I do know that most people agree that the pulleys and aircleaner should not be high-gloss. Different suppliers and plants made it immpossible to gauge the exact sheen. I will post a couple of pics of my stuff in a little bit. :Smarty:

Here's one of my air cleaner after a recent restore. The color is Dupli-Color hi-temp LOW-GLOSS black #DE1634. They have 3 different types. Semi-gloss was too shiny for me. I painted all the pulleys and bracket the same color too!

    One more...

Oh ya, the fiberglass part of the ram air set-up should NOT be black. I semi-cleared mine after sanding.

On a side note. Does that top radiator hose look funny to any of you? Is'nt it supposed to be under that air horn a little more? The aftermarket intake has caused me headaches, so it would not surprise me if this is another problem!
