I was looking under my 65 today and the body mounts under the trunk are rusted through real bad. The trunk is also pretty much gone. I know I'll have to replace the whole trunk. Are the body mounts seperate from the trunk panels when you buy them and is there any secrets to replacing them? I will also have to replace the rubber bushings also. Also are all the body mounts done the same way. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to take it apart until I know what I'm getting into. Thanks!

I bought "body mount repair panels" from Year One. These are just a patch panel which extends about 11" from the wheel house. The body brace with nut is attached to the panels. I would assume a complete trunk floor kit would also include this part but am not positive.

    Good quality part :TU:

Just checked Year One and Goodmark for complete trunk floor sets. Pictures look like the body mounts are not pre-attached.

    Thanks Dave,
I don't just want to jump into something without having an idea where I'm going. I've never been into a car this deep before so I want to know what I'm up against. The floor pan on the drivers side is also pretty nuch gone also. The front rap is real solid and the chrome is in excellent shape up front. The back is not so lucky. Both quarter panels, trunk, and the lower section under the back glass. Quite a job ahead but looking forward to it. Thanks again I'll check those out. :TU:
