Whats the bolt pattern for a 1971 riviera? I searched but I found mixed results. I found 5x4.75 and 5x5.

    Thanks

To complicate it further there are two different 5 x5 Buick wheels. One fits your car and the other does not.

I got 17x7 up front, and 18x8 in the rear, I hope it looks as good as i picture in my head

This has something to do with the fact that "drum brake wheels" don't fit on the front of cars with disc brakes ?

Yeah that looks good, Now i wanna find a tire that will fill out that wheel well, would a 275 do it, or should i go wider?

Only thing I know is that the rims are 16 inch with Scorpion tyres.

The other week another board member also asked me about the wheels on that '72.
Follow the instructions in this post to contact the owner :Comp:

Can you get any more details on these wheels, if they were custom made, I guess they are as big a possible, so width, offset and backspace would be great to know.
Metallic black, shiny chrome, big wheels........ that is one seriously sexy car. Any more info on it on the interweb??

Man, those boattails look they are flying just sitting still ... and they seem to take custom large wheels with ease.

You can contact the owner of the car about the wheels, he's a board member: Click here :Comp:

This '72 will be one of the nicest Boattails on the planet when it's finished !

Really cool thread. I'm thinkin' 16x7 fronts and 17x9 or 16x10 (can't decide) rear. In all black Cragars or silver Rallys.

a long time ago i ws dong some measuring... with the proper offset on the wheels you can run an 18x11 in the back with a 315 45 tire.. with out tubs. and in the front an 18x9 with a 265 50. give or take..
there is a whole bunch of room under these cars. i love it
