Is anyone in the automotive feild as bored as we are here?? I have 8 employees and 2 cars to work on.... pretty says it all there!!:eek2:
I could use new brake lines and an engine rebuild on my Skylark... but I can't afford to pay for anything more than materials. I'm bored, but have no tools, so Im am out of luck :ball:
I don't think there is a charge card available that would cover this mess.:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:
Some days I wish I was bored...... I almost never have a chance to get bored. If car sales get slow and I get caught up with our own cars, I still have the tons of customer cars to wade through. Wanna come up and help me?? LOL! Only time I get bored is on lunch hour...... I don't like to sit around much. I have a Lumina APV I pulled in after lunch because it won't crank........pulled the pan and found a nice collection of scrap metal, so you know what I get to do the rest of today and tomorrow. You can't tell me the meathead that was driving it didn't hear any noises either. It was obvious that they ran it until it snapped two rods and seized the remaining ones tight. :spank: The car sales have picked up here quite a bit with the last two weeks.....so maybe things will pick up for the rest of the auto related industry. Mike
Dan, What kind of hubcaps are those? They look similer to the poverty caps, but they don't have the pattern around the center. Cool looking caps either way.
It's a shame your so far away, I've been searching for someone to do my body/paint and install the convertible top. Everybody here in SanDiego is so stacked up that I can't get a real schedule out of any of them, and the guys who will give you a schedule are so expensive that its no wonder they can make room. I wonder how much it would be to ship my car to Kansas?
It was $600 something from oregon to here for a friend of mine. About the same distance. When its done tho I woiuld have to deliver it in person so I could be sure it didnt get damamged in freight somewhere :Brow:
Hey Mike I work at a body shop near Chicago, and we are really dead. Its gotten really slow over the past year.Part of the problem is that we lost a lot of our drps.and the other problem is that we have 9 body techs so we can really saw through the work.I'm just hoping for some hail this year. Tim
"When its done tho I woiuld have to deliver it in person so I could be sure it didnt get damamged in freight somewhere " It would be a pretty rough and breezy ride with no interior or windows
Jim, Those are the same hubcaps as txgwildcat has. They are just a little cruddy. The car looked even sadder with no wheel covers, so I through them on. It had 15 inch rally's on it, but I shnarfed them for my Regal.
