Just marked Date on Calendar. Will call some of the others from Houston in the AM. (Us Old Farts go to bed early, except for Special occasions, & this is 1) Anyone else from Houston area planning on going? JR
just got off the phone with JR, now I am attending, LOL will be in that area, ( to pick up a buick) so ……. heck yea!
Reminder, The event is not only racing it is an opportunity to cheer on those that race and a chance to talk and catch up with all our friends throughout the state. I look forward to seeing all of you there!
Heads up. With the rain chances increasing over the week, I am watching the forecast. Currently they are predicting 50% chance of rain in Temple on Saturday. I will keep you up to date on the weather for the X Bash.
Man, this thing is cursed for weather. I headed up to Waco yesterday for a football game, it was dry there all day. It rained much of it at my home in San Antonio.
Hello All, We were out at the track for some TNT and the idea of a Buick event was floated out there. This is the "new" eighth mile just south of Dallas on 45. https://www.xtremeracewaypark.com/ This was my first visit there and WOW is it nice. Pits were some real nice flatwork that must have cost a fortune. Track prep was top notch according to the people I talked to. A couple of my(and maybe your) turbo regal buddies were laying down some high sixes with 60' in the 1.50s. This seemed like a pretty central location. Is it something the Houston, Austin and SanAntonio guys would consider? What about you Oklahoma and maybe even Kansas guys? I can start a new thread if op finds this isn't in his original content idea. Post up with interest and let see if it can be organized. Could be a Buick only, brand X event or whatever. Love to see something instead of nothing. Thanks for your input!
I’m in! It’s only about an hour away for me. I’ve seen it from the highway and it looks top notch. Nice pits!
I posted an update. http://v8buick.com/index.php?threads/interest-in-an-april-buick-event.340935/ Maybe some of the San Antonio and Austin People might want to come up. And the Oklahoma and maybe even Kansas.
