I believe those are the same as the 70-72. That's the trigger. Mike Garrison makes the trigger and the handle clip in brushed aluminum. Way more sturdy than stock. He has the springs as well.

No the 68 and 69 parts are different from 70 to 72 shifters. At this time no 68 -69 shifter parts are manufactured . Sorry for the bad news .

If you can find a good ‘70-up shifter handle you can use it in place of the ‘68-‘69 unit.

Tony, how does the trigger differ? Is it wider or narrower? Can a 70-72 trigger be modified?

    Larry,
I will try and get you pictures of the two and their differences tomorrow or Monday . I do not know of a way to make the 70 parts work with the 68- 69 .

In that case, I would try to repair the original with some JB Weld. It doesn't look that bad. Really curious to know what the actual differences are. They look like basically the same design, so the differences must be in actual dimensions. How hard would it be to use a 3D printer to make one?

I was also thinking they were the same. I have another shifter for 68-69 skylark however, it’s different from this one. The rubber grip covers the entire top of the shifter, no chrome insert.
Update: I looked in my service manual and it has a different shifter from the one on my car, which I think the handle is the 70-72 one, the other shifter i have is the correct one for 68-69. I’ll use this one until I get a replacement bar. I like the 70-72 one better.
