I remember buying that piping from Poston's back in 2001 and it was cheap, Not the $100 aimes wants now.

You guys are talking about apples and oranges. A roll of stuff is cheap. The pre-molded stuff AMES sells is the closest product to original. It's thicker, wider, you trim it to fit, it is the absolute best reproduction trim you can buy. As a repro product, I give it a 10 rating. A roll...I'd give like a 5-6 rating!

Don’t forget the little bullet end caps, almost every car I see is missing them and they really finish it off nicely

I believe they stopped using the end caps in 1967, when they stopped using the steel seat trim pieces.

x2. The stuff in the roll is garbage. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra money and get the molded set.

That explains it then. Well I think they look more finished with them.

I have called Legendary, OPG, NPD, YearOne and Ames, none of them have the molded ones for a 73, haven't got much choice but to get the roll and make my own.

sells this item. It works great . I have
used it on both my cars bucket seats with no problem.
It's very inexpensive and a lot cheaper than going through one of the car parts guys.

Is the 73's seat trim chrome or interior color?

The trim from postons was good & still is good on the seats.

    thank you Eric.
Bill they are chrome just like the older buckets but they are taller seats so the trim has to be longer.

Cool - the chevy's look to be just interior color.

The trim on my driver's seat fell off long ago. Tried putting it back on, kept popping off again.
