Another issue is the availability of parts. Still waiting on Pistons from JE. Have to call Tim at TA today and see if there’s any updates on them as well as the heads and cam as well.
The last two weeks were fruitful. Heads and cam last week and pistons this week. Intake SP3 next week along with arp studs and some S/S hardware. Custom aluminum pan from SRE also in the works. Parts should be dropped off at machinist next week. He said approximately 6 weeks to completion. I’ll post more in my 350 build thread along with pictures.
He didn't pick up that much E.T. over well ported iron heads and part of that had to be in weight savings. Granted, he had a lot of $ into the iron heads and the alum. are probably less expensive for someone running stock heads.
Just wondering how to get test & tune all to yourself like that.....he must know somebody...must be nice.
I think a lot of guys would be interested in a separate thread detailing the build specifics and your impressions/thoughts/evaluation of the performance. I know I would be.
