This car has made it to several Buick events and to see her up close is breathtaking! With any luck a Buick person will buy it and we'll continue to see her at the shows. ray: Anyone want to guess what she'll sell for?
I saw it cruising around Beech Bend Raceway at the GS Nationals years ago. Almost ran a "grudge race" but don't think it ever happened. I always wondered if it would surface again. I better get my credit rating into Barrett-Jackson I suppose. :error: It's a nice ride, total head turner! http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=buick+blackhawk&gbv=2 ElectraJim
Cole, If she buys it, I'd gladly buy a ticket for a ride if she'd interested in making some of her money back on it. :bglasses: Times are tough so we just need to keep the ticket price under $29.95 :dollar: Best of luck to you both and please let your friend know that this car is a legend amongst us Buick folks...
At the GS Nationals a few years ago my wife was looking at the Blackhawk and the fellow that was in charge of the car asked her if she would like to ride in it... I was on the other side of the tent looking at the Wildcat I think. Anyhow I got to ride also. Bert
I drove it down the track at BG, what fun. What sadness to have it have to go this way, though, there was some thought to a collection to save it for the Buick Gallery and Research Center, at the Sloan Museum, if we could get enough collection to make a bid, but what will it go for? And would you give $ to a collection to save it in Flint, Let me know, maybe?
I am lucky enough to be friends with Harold Calhoun , who is the man that took the Blackhawk to many of the Buick functions. At the Great lakes regional in Pennsylvania, I was give the "job" of giving people rides in it. It was one of the high points of my life !!

Supposedly the car has a 455 with a pretty nice serpentine setup. I emailed the company that built it AAT about it a couple of weeks ago but never received a reply. Anyone know more about this?
I do know it has a 455 in it, Stage 1 if I remember correctly. I don't remember about the serpentine setup, but given the level of the car, I'd be amazed if it didn't. I remember when it was featured in a lot of magazines after its debut, and I loved everything about it. Has it been that long already?
Forgive me for the hijack... How about the 1999 Buick Riviera " Wildcat", what happened to it? I would like to have that vehicle to make a street machine with. Unfortunately my income bracket does not allow such dreams to become reality... Bert
