I'm currently working on my 70 Lotus Europa. Putting a Buick 215 in it like the 47D GT GKN car that Lotus built (one off).
They are very light cars so it should really move. What is experience with ingress and egress? They have a very low roofline.
I'm 6-2" and tried to sit in a Europa once...........once. Yeah, 250hp in an 1800 lb. car outta be fun.
Hey,if you need a set of heads and 4 barrel intake,I have them.they are from a 62 special.The heads have are complete,just need a valve job,but they did come from a running car.Bruno.
Hi guys yes I'm aware that the headroom is not sumptuous LOL I had a 69 Europa. When I was in college early 70s. Thanks Bruno I just picked up a set of Rover heads yesterday. The ones on the engine I bought (from a 63 Special) one of the combustion chambers was kind of messed up. The Rover rockers are a little beefier than the Buick ones too. I'll port these & have the seats opened up some. I have an Offy 4 barrel manifold & Valve covers. But I've changed my mind & going with 4 Weber IDFs instead. Mclaren used the Traco Olds in his M1As &Bs. I love the Can-am period (when I was in High school & college)& want that look in this car. I'm completely revamping/customizing the body to look more like a Lola T70. Or kind of a cross between a Lola & a Chevron B16. Been an on again off again project for several years now. But this time I'm determined to get it finished (famous last words I know LOL)
My IDF carbs came in. Now if the guy in England will just get off the dime & invoice me for the manifold I'll be a happy camper. The block & heads are out being hot tanked & the bores checked. The cranks out being turned. Should have them all back by next week.
