    67gsman I'm not fast, I'm not slow....I'm half-assed

    Hey Guys,
Tried to do a search on the Forums and maybe missing it but I'm sure there are a bunch of us that would like to deal with people/companies that do Buick specific.
One would be some sort of list that we could go to for Buick Engine Rebuilds/Heads Redone/Engine Work.
Really, this could be for Carb Rebuilds/Rears/Trans. Etc...
Does anyone on this forum have any input or a way we as members can add to a preferred list that can be searchable in one location on the forum ? That is instead of hunting and pecking on all the forum threads ?
I'm specifically looking for a Buick engine/trans and carb rebuilder on the east coast (Virginia).
Any constructive info would help on looking or creating the list. Thanks

I have never heard of a Buick specific engine builder located in N.C., S.C. or Va. At one time there was such a person near Richmond, but he tells me he is no longer doing this.

Thanks Jim. What I was really going for here is Guys/Mom and Pops/or Companies that lean more towards working on Buick
or BOP items. I'm sure there are guys on the forum that know of and like specific vendors and not the standard small block chevy
or mass engine/trans/rear rebuilders. Some of those are fine but always nice to deal with people that dig Buicks and take the time to know and understand the particulars of us "red headed step kids" of the GM A bodies.

I am unaware of anyone in N.C., S.C. or Va. that fits that definition.

I was wondering about the same thing as 67gsman only in the long island,N.Y. area. I am looking to take my car out of a long hibernation and have multiple areas to redo and upgrade so it would be great to find a shop fairly local who was very familiar with Buicks/455's to work closely with. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

If you are on Long Island, I invite you to join the Northeast GS/GN club, if you are not already a member. Our director, John Csordas, is an awesome mechanic, and you could not ask for someone more familiar with all Buicks. He works out of the Auto Center at Chappaqua crossing. Might be an hour trip or less for you, it's about 40 minutes from me in Queens.

    That's John in the picture.

OK, well, I live in Queens, and I am the assistant director for John. You can e mail me or call me if you want to and I'll do my best to help. My e mail is in my signature.

Cody Ware in OH. I have his card somewhere. He bought out Mike's (AMP) shop & I assume has Mike as a technical resource.

Yes Mike at Manlove's listed above has done 6 engines that I brought and he has the oil mod drill bits and a copy of the mods that I printed for him.

That's not too far from me. 350's are a little different animals & that be my next one but still... Good to know a place to take it that won't treat it like a Chevy:).

Not sure if @nickbuickgs will just do an engine but if so, he's just north of Philly. Afaik he doesn't do his own machining but works w/a shop that'll do it to his specifications and he's pretty meticulous.
