So, I'm out in Sportn'Wood crusing around burning some gas after twisting some wrenches last nite and I'm sitting at a lite when I hear some Harley's pull up alongside me on the left.

"Hahaha .. isn't that the car from that Chevy Chase movie ??"

"Yeah .. they go on vacation in that F$&*Kin' Ugly station wagon - Thats IT Right there !! Hahaha"

" The Family Truckster ... thats what it was called - but this one's a Vista Cruiser"

... So, right abouts now my blood is just slightly starting to simmer - just a tad, but I know these lights and practice at them all the time like its the Christmas Tree at Englishtown

Double-red, fast 3 count ... and before the red goes out and the green comes on as if time slowed down and I could see that perfect .000 leave, I nailed it - PERFECTLY

Sporty rears up as I kick hard with both spurs and chirps her tires in the disgust of being called The Family Truckster ?!?!? WTF ?!?!

The Mighty QuadraJet SCREAMS its way through first and second shouting out to all the world "I AM NOT A VISTA CRUISER !!!"

... I left those boys so hard and unexpecting, I put 10 cars on them before they even clunked their tranny into first and picked their foot up off the ground

When they finally caught me about 3 lites up it was a different story. A Proud and true name said with respect and appreciation ... even a hint of reverence

    "Buick Sportwagon ?? "

" Huh .. I never knew Buicks could run like that !!"

I didn't even bother looking over to see the thumbs-up. I didn't need it and Sportn'Wood already knows what Cool is all about

So you turned some wrenches ?

Does this mean your noise in the motor has been remedied ?

If not, give the keys to the Wizard, he'll fix it right up for ya !!! :TU:

Not that I don't like sporty, but I thought you were bringing big red this year Alan? I have yet to see that legendary beast in person, was really looking forward to it.

Plus I needed to know what I was dealing with cause I wanna square off with it in the Rusty Hulk next year... ;)

... BigRed was a bit too needy to whip into shape for this years roadtrip but if you watch the above and are still callin' me out  I'll make sure its a finely tuned animal for next year :bla:

I wouldn't go so far as to say its a "callout", that'd be awfully bold from a guy who's car currently still has the body sitting next to the chassis! But consider it more a gauge with which to measure.... Haha.

But that's alright, I don't blame ya. I wouldn't know how to act if I had to choose between 2 cars which to bring....

Fine - lets have a race to see who's junk makes it to Ohio first .. then we can worry about the 1320 later :TU:

When you get to 3 cars like MoonRocket you choose to leave them all at home and spectate :puzzled:

Why are you's two's pickin' on the old guy. I got so much seat time on all my cars, I can save on gas and live on the memories.

Besides, I just lined up a chauffer in Sporty and can enjoy his cold A/C for 11 hours.....who's better than the MoonDog !!!

You guys think I'm to old to drive my Buicks on an 11-12 hour road trip. :af:

How many of you remember me bringing either the "The Most Optioned" or "BiggestRed" to our events.
Plus how many of you have transported 3 of your Buicks on a solid 12 hour run, "Piloting SOLO", in the last 2 months.

This year I ride shotgun. All you 2 hour trip jockeys can bite the OLD MAN !!! :moonu: :eek2:   :bla:
