The Riviera needs new 225/75-15 narrow white wall tires. Slim pickings. Its either a $280 BF Goodrich tire that normally $85 from Diamondback Classics or $100 Chinesium Hankooks which I cant bear to put on my car.

Im so frustrated with this excrement that Im really thinking about just selling the car at this point. Im either getting ripped off at Diamondback or its the Chinese tires

I had Hankooks (make in South Korea) on my 2008 Saturn Astra and I liked them. When it was time to replace, I installed Toyo tires - worst ties noisy as hell. Traded that car on a Colorado

You Might check with "Universal Vintage Tire" (universaltire.com)
Page 13 of their catalog shows a 225/75R-15 for $163 with a 1.6" white wall. Made in the USA!!!
The 2.75" WSW will run You $258. If You go w/those, You'd best get the 3" thick Vinyl Roof , & the Pink Shades for the head lamps, to go with Your 3" Platforms & Plaid Bell Bottoms.

Yeah, the wide whites are out. Even the 1.6" are too wide.

Don't forget the purple fur hat with the feather in it. Im trying not to make the car look like the pimpmobile from the movie Magnum Force

We sell a lot of Hankook tires where I work and zero complaints to my knowledge. I completely agree with you wanting to buy USA made products, but, that isn't always an option. There are very few 15" tires of any size to choose from any more compared to even just a few years ago.

Cooper Trendsetters are less than 100 each, but you might have to go to a 235-75-15

Jason, I think Steve Ruconich added his own red line to his tires. Maybe you can do that with a white wall stripe on the tire of your choice? He was telling me about it a few weeks ago. Give him a call.

I've got Cooper Trendsetters on my Estate Wagon. I'm very happy with them. There offer a 215 and a 235 in a 7/8" white wall.

As much as I hate to put a Korean made tire on my car, This is my only option at this point.

The problem with the Coopers is that the 225's come in blackwall. You can only et them in a 235 in a white. And I don't want to put the oversize tires on my car. Its ridiculous! I'd have more of a selection if I had a Model A Ford

    235 is almost not visible wider than 225.. 10mm wider = 5mm each side, that's like 1/5" ...

My cars alignments were way of after some repairs on the idler arm etc, so both my 225/40-19's are eaten away on 1" on the inside, so had to buy new tires.. I went with the 235/35-19 instead because of 25% lower price, and I can't tell from a distance, and they are low-profile, would be even harder with a balloon tire..

Jason, buy the tires of your choice and do what Steve did. These are add on Red Lines. Maybe they have white lines? StevesRedLinesR.jpg
