Car stumbles when "goosing" it.

Driving around with the car in "D" (Th350), with my 3.42 rear gears (didn't do this with the 2.41s), if I tap the gas quickly in succession, the car will sputter and sometimes nearly die, then pick back up again. I assume this is because fuel is sloshing around in the bowl. Is there a way to remedy this with changing the float level, or is the remedy simply "Don't do that."?

    Any input is appreciated.

Put a vacuum gauge when it does that. Try a gas filter. Didn’t mark build your carb.? I want to blame fuel supply like a weak pump. Put a gauge on that too.

The issue seems to have corrected itself. Must have been a bad batch of gas or something. Ran it down, filled up at a different station, all is fine now.

Hey, so how do you like the 3.42 gear? Was it a night and day difference from the 2.41 performance wise?

If that thing is dialed in you might be in the high 13s now! Should at least be low 14s anyway.

I've never driven a car with an LSD (and having the opportunity to really drive it) , and I gotta say, it's pretty fun. Going from 2.41s to 3.42s was pretty much like doubling the torque available, or at least felt like it. Since I basically went up a full digit in gear ratio, I kind of expected 3rd to feel like 2nd, and 2nd to feel like 1st. 1st is certifiably insane compared to what it was. Sucks it's raining for the past week and upcoming few days. I haven't really been able to get on it yet. And I haven't even put the converter in yet.
