When I say "realistc", I mean list some cars that you are actually thinking about buying/building/adding to your collection, or are thinking of buying once you sell what you have. At the very least, list something you can actually afford. I realize this post won't apply to those who have "that one special car" that they never plan on selling, or the one that "I'll be buried in my car". Don't list a one of seven 1971 Hemi Cuda convert if your working at Burger King for minimum wage(like me). I would still like to do a NHRA'd 67-69 GS400 for PSMCDR 65 Riviera GS 1974 GTO 68-69 Olds 442 with the dreaded small bore 400(cubes are king!) 73 Hurst Olds 66-67 Fairlane GT390 67 Coronet R/T or GTX 440 70 GTO 66-67 Nova I'm sure there are other's, but I'm trying to be realistic.ou:
'74 GTO. I am in no hurry and have been looking for one for quite some time that is "done". I have always liked Novas and shaker hood scoops. I can get both in one car :Brow: Jody
If I ever get more room and a little more money again I would love to get another 1979 Pontiac Trans Am - black, red, or blue in color. I also like the 1973 Pontiac GTO.
71 Gtx or road runner 4406pk -- some day 70 Buick GS convertable 350 -455 doesn't matter -diplomate blue white top white guts. Been looking for 15 YEARS and will continue till I find the right one ..:Brow: But here's my mythical 0 mile hemi cuda convert. dream car 69 DELUXE 300 L89 ---- in my wettest of dreams
If my 72 Skylark ever sells, I'm going to find a 67-72 Chevy C10 pickup that I can drive as I fix it up. If money/space allowed another car on top of that, I would look for a 67 Skylark or GS. That body style is awesome.
Tom I can put you in to a 67 RT roller with body panels done in primer, no interior but it has new interior to be installed. A 67 440 from an RT can be bought separately. The 440 did not originate with this car. Or you can supply your own engine.
A GMC Typhoon is on my list. However some of these became C4C vehicles:ball: stupid owners who don't know they go for more than 4k in almost any condition.
I've thought about this for years and would love to find and/or build a nice `65 Sport wagon, a car I could drive anywhere (overdrive, a/c. etc.) Black w/red interior would be perfect. lowered a little, upgrades on brakes, suspension........ It need not be the most powerful in the world, just reliable. In any case, it will have to wait until our son graduates from college. There just isn't enough money left every month for another project while we support his education and I don't want to start anything until I can get fully involved in it
First on my wish list is a garage to hold the cars on the list! Until then it's not very realistic, but here it is anyway: 64 Wildcat coupe or convertible 65 Skylark GS post coupe 65 Sportwagon, or maybe 66 or 67 62 Wildcat 55 Buick Century 2 door hardtop, or maybe a Special 59 Buick, almost any except 4 door sedans Previously owned one or more of all the above except the 62 Wildcat. John :beers2:
Short beds seem to be the more popular thing that people want but I too given the choice would want a long bed...same year too.. Id also like a GNX.. but given my income I'll be realistic... as I always keep my eye out for a GN.. any color as long is its black
I really want a mid 70's Ford Bronco I can use as a daily driver. Would love to find one and convert it to a modern drivetrain. I would even give up the Buick to get one at this point. I hate the fact that I can only drive the Buick for about half the year that wouldn't be an issue with the Bronco.
I am always in the "one at a time" mode and the last one was here 25 years-I don't change up often and the 427 Fairlane clone is only half done. But-if it ever moves along to a new owner, a 73-74 GS455 with a stealthy Tri-shield built 600 hp engine is likely the last one on my list. That I do not have the time or space to acquire Johns Maroon 74 up in Minnesota constantly eats at me........
I have an open offer to buy back my 68 Hurst/Olds. There is a high-optioned 69' SJ Grand Prix (428 - but not an HO) that exists in Western Saskatchewan - 1300 miles away. Combine that with getting my Dad's 65 Catalina running, my existing GP, my 94-96' Caprice cop car interest - that's enough! Money, money, money!
71 GS 350 w\ A\C, pw, N-25, buckets, console, as loaded as it can get. 66 riv w\ 425 dual quad 70-72 stage 1 70 monte carlo ss 454 69 opel...build a 350 for it with a 4 or 5 speed 68 GTO
I really don't have a preference on bed length, but it will have to be fleet side. I never have been able to "get" the step side trucks.
