Thats a single Exhaust car right with the Giant exhaust tip ?? Or was that the Dart only ?

Paul - You're right. The '65 Formula S Barracuda had the big rectangular single exhaust outlet. Plymouth needed a quick fix to be able to compete in road racing. Totally changed in '67 with the new Barracuda only body style. The '64 - '66 was essentially a fastback Valiant.

That you, Erwin? Don't recall an actual Rallye 350 at Pure Stock, but Dennis Jensen ran his green 310 hp Cutlass S a few years back. That has the identical power train as a Rallye. Not too exciting. Don't rememberexactly, think it was in the high 14's.

There was an SX convertible the first year we ran (1999). Haven't seen it since..

    Dave ,
Dan and Dennis did an article on that 310hp car on the dragway they started out at a 14.50 and worked it down to a 13.89 with 3.42 gears I believe. That was the car that made me build Rhonda's 310hp car. 3.90 gears would of helped - It sure helped Rhonda's out!!!:TU: :3gears:

Cool...Didn't know about that, just recall the 14's...Wonder what they did to get 3/4 second out of it...??? Dyno tuning?

Which magazine ran the article? Don't recall that.

Last I knew, Ray Kauffman(sp?) owned that car.
I was paired with him at Stanton in 2008 with the T-37.

We were both running high 14.20's-14.30's.

Dan, shouldn't that be 335 hp?

And, Joe, "V-code" equals 440 Six Barrel for 1970-71, with the GT having it available only in 1970. Interestingly enough, the standard engine for the 1970 Sport Fury GT was not the 440 Super Commando (375 hp) but 350 hp.
