So, I'm doing some body work on the car and stripped the whole thing down. I am replacing the whole trunk pan and noticed the two cages for the body mounts in the trunk are rotted. I am getting some help to rebuild the cages and install new bushings. I purchased the kit from opgi. I will also be replacing the two front foot pans.

Ok, so I will have it up on the hoist to get a good Look but can anyone tell me what my challenges will be in changing all the mount bushings? I will assume that the bolts will be rusted and not salvageable. Do I have to cut through the inner floor to access all of them and rebuild with new bolts?

    Any info would help, thanks.

  2. If you are already in the project this far, (trunk and floor pans), find a southern salvage yard and ask them to sell you the front mounts, and the rear mounts for that matter. You likely will net better results than rebuilding these pieces by hand. I can refer you to a yard here that will probably be able to help. PM me.
