Chicken Tax

    Did u guys know this tax?
    A 25% tariff on imported light trucks imposed by President Lyndon Johnson in 1963 and still in effect. (The 1960s trade dispute started with French tariffs on imported US chickens.)

    That is why the old Subaru Brat truck had seats mounted in the bed.

    ...And Ford Transit vans come here (from Turkey) with seats and windows in the back that get removed and recycled, and panels put in the sides, before going to dealers.

    And those seats were declared to be illegal in Massachusetts. You are not allowed to have human passengers in an open pickup bed in the Bay State.

    You have to be over 16 here. In theory that is. No seat is necessary.
