Thank You again to the Clary's for hosting this party, and providing everyone with a chance to see good friends in the dead of winter away from the track. Best bench racing I've done since this time last year. Heard talks of new cars Heard talks of existing cars with new stuff being done Talked about injured and sick racers not at the party Talk about races this year and rules Just a good time, and a good place to catch up on things. To those of you who left last night, you missed out on the home made breakfast served this morning, that was awesome. Thanks Tim. I wonder how Amy's feelin' ???

Rhonda & Tim Had a great time, sounds like I missed out on a really good breakfast. Maybe next year. Talk to you soon. Mike.
A great big THANK YOU to the Clary's from Amy and I for an awesome time!! We are glad we could make it this year and enjoyed spending a cold Saturday night hangin with some old friends and making some new ones! The drive there and back took us through some really great country and I got to see the Michigan International Speedway for the first time!' Thank you to all that brought the great food and snacks! Amy did manage to get a few group and individual pictures before she felt "really good", and I will try and post those later tonight. Tom, Amy got the wine out of her system and is feeling much better.:TU:
Good shindig! Thanks Tim, Rhonda, & Nicole for being the excellent hosts. I'm glad Amy is feeling better. I hope the wine did not make it out of her system the same way it went in.
Sounds like i missed a great time. Hope to attend next year. Mike hurd-hope you had a beer for me. :beer

Tim, Rhonda and Nicole, Thanks for another great party! Great folks to hang with, ice cold beer, more food than I should have eaten, and the BIGGEST pizza in the Drag Racing world! :beers2: I only witnessed one incident of breakage this year and it was an empty so we are improving! Can anyone guess who did it? Donkey DID make waffles for breakfast, so no one drove home hungry. Tim and Rhonda, special thanks again for putting me up for the night. You guys truly are great people and that's what this hobby is all about. Oh yeah, and put me down for one ticket to the "barn tour" next year. See you all in June, Paul (Luap)
nnnnnTim, Rhonda, & Nicole Again, thank you all so much for hosting the Pure Stock Party 2011. Michigan Winters are way too long and cold for us who have the need for speed, 1320/ft at a time. But because of awesome Pure Stock party's like the Clary's, and all the good people who show up, it gets all of us motorheads through the next few months. Looking back on 2010 we had our share of issues with the Pure Stock Drags event, but hopefully all that stuff is behind us. It's time to focus ahead and not dwell on the past. That's why we made a few rule changes for 2011. We are also adding Thursday to the schedule for 2011, for those of you who would like to get your tech. inspection in early, or just drop your car and trailer off. We are also going to use Thursday for any cars we want to put through our heavy tech. process. It gives us the time to do it. Now if we start to see a good number of you coming in early on Thursday, will consider making the race a three day event, and have the track open from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. Were looking at maybe 2012/2013 (??????). Were still brain storming the idea.$$$$$ As of right now for 2011 there's no additional cost for Thursday. Now we want to give all you Pure Stockers fair warning this year. There is a few cars that will be asked to go through our heavy tech. process this year. So if your car doesn't comply with the rules you better start changing things right now. And were not just talking about the fastest cars at the event. There's a few in the middle of the pack that need to be looked at. From hear on out it's going to be a random check process. So you've been warned. And again if you refuse to go through the heavy tech. process, your car will be banned from the race until you do. It's our event, our rules, our final decision if your car complies with the rules. And if you don't like it, either start your own event or better yet, just stay home. It's that simple. And on that note we would like to thank everybody again for your long time support with the Pure Stock Musclecar Drag Race. Lets make this a good season of Pure Stock racing. Sincerely, Bob & Dan :3gears:
Wow Mr. buzzkill .. Haha Good news I guess. Yes DonKey made waffles ! Big Breakfasts are my thing- LOVE cookin for friends and family. And you folks are welcome at my house Anytime.:beer
Rule changes? Who's worried about rule changes? Not us with our stock GM internals assembled in the standard bore numbers matching block with the tiny factory original cam installed (and I mean THE ORIGINAL cam put in the motor in good 'ol Lansing Michigan back in April of '69). Hell, all I'm thinking about is the Thursday addition giving an opportunity to crank up another night of Parking Lot Party action, Pure Stock Style! Woohoo! :TU:
What a great party!! Thanks to the wonderful hosts for the hospitality. Great people make for great times! So who's goin' to West Lebanon in May?
Well said Bruno.:beers2: The people is part of the formula that makes the event fun. With out it, none of us would even bother. Now Tim, if Dan and myself can't put an event on that we would like to attend, then I'm personally going to throw the towel in after 2011. I can't speak for Dan but were usually on the same page with everything. All were asking for right now, is to let Dan and myself try and get the event back on track for 2011. We know it's not going to be easy, but please just give us a chance before you throw the towel in on us as the Pure Stock Drags event organizers. Maxwell's Silver Hammer is going to be dropped in Sept. 2011. We are giving all Pure Stocker's plenty enough time to change things if they need to do so. So Pure Stockers, you better be ready, because it might be you who gets called out for heavy tech. Bob & Dan (Going Fast on Poly-Glas)
