Well, I haven't posted in a while,.... winter, go figure. I have the car out and about again, having fun. Next week I have to drive my middle son to Calgary (215 KM, 135 Miles each way) for day surgery on his shoulder. I got all excited, road trip in my car. Well, my wife sunk that idea. We are taking my eldest son's 2015 Ford Focus (It is really cheap to run), and he is going to drive my car for work for the two days we will be gone. Neither of us is too happy. He feels like a fish out of water in my car. Last time, I took him for a 30 minute "instructional tour" of driving a classic car. Things like, Warm it up for a bit, pump the gas to start, no antilock brakes, longer braking period, wider turning radius....

His car is really comfortable, but, still, I love my car.

If your son can master driving the Wildcat then he should be able to drive anything:D
No though, to me the worst of it is really only the front drums brakes were the car pulls to one side or another when braking.
I think you posted about putting in new shocks and maby springs?? plus the added radial tires help big time. It will ride boaty though.

Your Wildcat tank holds I think 26 gallons and if you took it you would need all of that 26 gallons and maby a few more:eek:

Hello all. I did put in new rear springs and shocks as the back end sagged quite a bit when I got the car. I just put new radial tires all around (I am a firm believer in replace all 4 at the same time.) and she drives really nice. William says that he is getting used to driving the car, but that he prefers his car. Well, you can't force a like of classics on anyone.

Today I had some time so9 I tackled the things on the drivers door that were bugging me. Tighten the mirror, fix the carpet on the door, lubricate everything, (door lock works like new now. Before, you had to play with the key to get it to open. Now, you turn the key and "thunk", the lock goes up like new.) Before I closed up the door, I cut a piece of plastic and siliconed it to the door to replace the original paper seal that just disintegrated when I tried to remove it.

At this point, my Grandchildren showed up and play time with the car was over, play time with the kids started.

    Have a great day all!
