So I've been attempting to clean up and make sense of the previous owners wiring habits. Ive cleaned up 80% of what was hacked up but I've got a question about this plug that sits just above the heater controls with two pink wires going to it. When I ground the wire with my test light the (from my understanding) the buzzer above the glove box buzzes. What is it supposed to be for?

Also the two grey wires are both hot when the lights come on but I'm not sure what they used to light up (if anything). Were they used for a clock or tach? My car has the blank plate.

Double pink goes to back of Speedo and is the speed alert buzzer.
The two gray are the light socket wires for the clock/tach.

My speedo does not have a provision for that on the back, neither does the spare speedo I have. That's the spare I have, only difference between it and the one from my '70 is the date code [IMG]

Its for the speed alert speedo which was an option. The pigtail is there regardless.

Alright, so basically don't worry about the double pink wire plug. Got it, thanks!
