Putting together a 455. 76 stock block, stock Pistons, installing stock 68 heads. What compression ratio an I looking with this setup...?
    Thanks Jerry.

The 76 pistons have a smaller dish (27cc), BUT they sit further down the hole, as much as .090. The 1968 heads have 69-71cc chambers. Not enough to really make a big differences.

Head Gasket thickness + Piston to Deck clearance. .040 + .090 = .13 The calculator figured it out actually.

No, the 76 heads are 78cc and open chamber. They lower the static compression down to 7.8. Change the pistons.
