They had a bigger hit with that song than Them did with it. At least in the States. Interestingly, Them (without Van Morrison) redid the song around 1971:
The Swinging Medallions were from a little county near Columbia, S. C. They were are very large band. I suspect that I saw them perform live on more than 20 occasions. I own the same 45 rpm shown above.

The Ganser twins are both dead the Weiss sisters, one shown (Mary) in the pictures are still living. The composer of a lot of the songs, Shadow Morton, is dead. So is Jerry Leiber and Ellie Greenwich sp? who helped. Only Mike Stohler remains.
