Pete's boys wanted me to let everyone on here know that Pete went in for his new heart Saturday night @ 9pm. Surgery went well even though it lasted a little longer than expected. He is in recovery (critical care) and all indicators are favorable at this time. He is not alert yet and the 48 hours after the surgery is the critical window. I will try and update everyone but please be patient. Vicki is staying at the hospital and is coping well. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Sorry it is so short but I will add more later.

John Brown On permanant vacation !!

    Prayers for Peter.

Recovery can be fast or take quite a while. I was "out" for three days after my heart surgery and there was quite a bit of concern whether I would ever wake up. When I woke up I looked down in my hospital gown and saw I was all taped up. I knew they didn't waste tape on dead people. Since the surgery I am like a new man with much more stamina than I had for the previous twenty years.

I'm wishing the same for Peter too.

it's great to hear he is finally off the waiting list...... God Bless Pete and recover quick.

Also, a prayer for the donor who lost a life too soon, but was generous enough to fill out the organ donor form and give the ultimate gift of life to complete strangers.

I suggest everyone touched by this to consider organ donation..............

Wishing Pete a speedy recovery. I'm awed by the surgeons out there with the skills to do this type of operation. Prayers for both families
