Did this on the Riv. Its designed for the A body cars but fit the contures of the Riv very well.

Yeah most Aussies, even car buffs dont know what a Skylark is, they think its a Chevelle, Olds or Pontiac, tell em its a 455 and then they think its a Pontiac mill
Talking hoodscoops I just moulded this reverse cowl GM Commodore item onto Ford for my friend at the local tyre shop.

    Just say "NO"to Chevelle stripes!

I've had more problems driving in the rain with a GS hood without the ram air breather because of water getting in the distributor. Never had any problem with a Stage 2 scoop.

For me the Chevelle stripes just don't work on a Skylark. Things like stripes and colors are very subjective. What one person likes, someone else doesn't...
On the Red Buick pictured you can see the GS scoops and the stripe just don't match. They don't follow any particular contour or body line. Not for me...in my opinion a Fire Red Buick GS looks best with a black vinyl top and interior.

The silver car pictured is gorgeous! I like everything about it...except for the GSX stripe on the hood. It's like two different finishes; the silver has a nice metal flake sheen to it. But the black...it's a different shine, and sheen. To me, it takes away from the beauty of the silver. But...one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I see what you mean about the stripes in both cases. I just wanted to do something to the all white and chrome exterior I guess. I’m real happy with how my car turned out but when you sit there and look at something long enough your imagination starts going.

There’s my car. I did all the body work and paint work myself in my garage and the rest mostly myself but had some big help from some great friends and family along the way. I paid 3000 and drove it home.

Is t/a performance the only company making the stage 2 scoop?

No scoop but I've recently finished this 1974 GMHolden HQ series Ute.
After bodywork I sprayed it back to it's original Chrome Yellow and added the GTS blackouts from the Monaros of a similar year.
Chrome Yellow over a white base, all in acrylic with clear coat over the whole lot.
    14x7 polished Magnum magnesium wheels.
I'm happy how it turned out.
You will probably pick up on the 70's GM styling, it's an unmistakable Aussie take on a timeless look.

It's only running a warm 3 litre (186cube) six cylinder, but with solid cam and lifters, Holley350, extractors, and electronic dissy.
Aussie 4 Speed box and 3.36 gears.
Not overly powerful but fun to drive, and I can haul stuff in the back if I need to.

Glasstek will make you a custom hood. They can use on of their bolt-on or pin-on frames and make a mold for the top, using whatever scoop or cowl that you want. It was about $1100.00 when I inquired, but I am sure it is more like $1400.00 now. I now have one of Craig’s raised cowl GS hoods that may or may not work. I might need a little more height.
