The Cowl Tag on my 72 list the Trim as 108 the Sloane Doc and other sources show 128 for Black Bench seat, which it has. Did Fisher/Buick use one # and the dealer use another ???? Is this common ? Thx, Matt

128 is the Buick sales code, which was found on the car order form, and 108 is the Fisher body trim code. I believe Buick started doing this in 1972, before that the code found on the car order form was the same as that on the cowl tag.

Ok Thanks, so is it fair to say that other if not all Black Benchseat cars in 72 would have a Trim code of 108 ?

Yes. One number was used by Buick and one was used by Fisher. Since Fisher built the body they put their number on the cowl tag.
