cranky people

Discussion in 'The Bench' started by GranSportSedan, Jul 18, 2018.

  1. I remember used to be when it was winter time and people would be a bit cranky here on the board because they couldn't get out and enjoy their cars, lately seems like we have lots of cranky people on the board now and it's summer, maybe the heat is getting to us. maybe we are becoming grumpy old farts . my wife does tell me every morning as I walk out the door to be nice to people today. just seems like a lot of bickering or jabs towards members.. discuss..

Just watch the evening news or any talk show, its enough to make any normal person grumpy. I have never seen or heard so much mud slinging and bickering and I am tired of it although I am not giving in to it. The media and politicians are trying to make it OK or normal to be that way. The future of this country is at stake and I have two teen age boys who will be living here.

I may have just killed this thread, sorry but that is my opinion on why there may be so much grumpiness going on.

I get cranky when I find big chunks of metal in my oil pan. I get cranky when I have to get my crank re-ground. And I get cranky when I have to dump a bunch of money into a rebuild.

But all that said...when its all said and done...

I'll be happy knowing that It will be done right and way better than before. :)

I have noticed the nit-picking as well. It seems that some folks are waiting to 'pounce', with a nasty or sarcastic reply, on anything someone says where they may be (or the 'pouncer' feels they are) mistaken. There are more constructive ways.
As for the political BS on TV, while I find it ridiculous and childish, I try to ignore it. It's just a shame that people who want to represent us, stoop as low as they do. Leading by example?

C'mon! Whats better than spending money on your car?? Its only money, you'll make more! I spent most of my money on Buicks, beer and lap dances. The rest I just wasted :D

I feel sorry for strippers, it's still only a buck to get a face full. It's been a buck for what, the last 20 years?
When's the last time they got a raise?? oh wait!:p

I know you Jason, and this is simply not true.

With your negotiating tactics, I'm almost certain the strippers pay you....:D:p:cool:

Shawn, I'm surprised he didn't end up in a body cast from the ones he was messing with in Kentucky. I think one of those strippers almost crippled poor Phil Roitman one year.:D:D

Social Media incites a lot of it as well. People showcase their hate and intolerance for all kinds of things. Very sad.:(

I no longer watch the news and I deleted Facebook months ago. I get all my news from the internet....I check out the headlines when I wake up just to be sure the world is still turning and I enjoy my day.

Amazing what just those 2 things have done for my mental health.

As for the board...I think we’re all just getting old. Comes with the territory!

I resemble that remark and it pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!!

I work for University of Florida and had a nurse get cranky with me yesterday when I questioned her telling me an AC grill in a patient exam room was freezing up and dripping on a bed. I tried to explain the discharge temp of the air handling unit for the whole floor has a discharge temp of 50 degrees and it is 75 degrees in the room; I don't think you're getting ice. She insists she has to scapre ice off it. Anyway it was bone dry no rust, water stains on ceiling tile of grate or any evidence it has ever been wet, completely dry above the ceiling tiles too. She continued to insist I resolve the issue. I just "smiled and waved", promising to look into it. I surprised myself did not get cranky.
